"CarlottaxARCHITETTURA", an event to remember the value of a woman who left an indelible mark on the territory, but above all in the hearts of those who knew her.
This is the purpose of the National Award which took place online on March 17 at the Order of Architects of Catania, promoted by the Foundation of Architects of Catania, of the Orders of Architects of Catania, Bologna, Syracuse and with the patronage of the Etna Municipality. In memory of the architect Carlotta Reitano - who died prematurely last September and who would have turned 59 on 17 March this year - the competition was launched to follow up on his mission, that of "enhancing architecture, with the the social role and the great commitment to the community and colleagues.
Several criteria were followed in the evaluation, "quality of the works, sustainability, originality and attention to the environment. In total 55 projects from all over Italy, divided into three categories: architecture, restoration and recovery, interior and / or design works.
The award ceremony was held at the Palermo Order of Architects on Saturday 27 March in the presence of the President of the Catania Order of Architects Alessandro Amaro, the President of the Palermo Order of Architects Francesco Miceli and the Councilor architects of Palermo and councilor of the Municipality of Cefalù, arch. Francesca Mancinelli.
